Job summary

PT Solutions is seeking an Acute Care Occupational Therapist to work one-on-one with hospitalized patients, helping them regain independence through self-care and activities of daily living. You will educate patients, families and caregivers and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to apply evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA approved occupational therapy program.
• State licensure is required.
• NBCOT registration.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient empowering them to achieve previous level of functioning or progress to next level of care.
• Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs.
• Demonstrate a positive connection with patient, fellow clinicians, and other team members.
• Build and maintain relationships throughout the hospital (e.g. physicians, case management, nurses, etc).

As an Acute Care Occupational Therapist, you'll work one-on-one with hospitalized patients to bring them a sense of normalcy and independence through self-care management and Activities of Daily Living. You are comfortable communicating and educating patients, family members, and caregivers on how to best assist with daily routines. This role gives you the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure the best and most evidenced based practice for our patients.
