Job summary

PT Solutions Physical Therapy is seeking an Acute Care Occupational Therapist in Calhoun, GA to evaluate, treat, and reassess patients across medical-surgical, progressive care, and ICU settings.

You will collaborate with a hospital team to deliver evidence-based care, develop treatment plans, and support patient-family engagement, with weekend/holiday shifts as part of PRN coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACOTE approved occupational therapy program.
• Registered with NBCOT.
• Current or pending state licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient and help restore function to the previous level or progress to the next level of care.
• Establish timely, patient-specific treatment plans and monitor progress.
• Maintain positive connections with patients, families, and hospital teammates to ensure coordinated care.
• Build and maintain relationships across hospital teams, including physicians, case management, and nursing staff.

Hospital/Clinic Information: PT Solutions Physical Therapy partners with AdventHealth Gordon to provide high quality occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology in the acute care setting. AdventHealth Gordon is a 69-bed community hospital that is also a Joint Commission Center of Excellence for total hip and knee replacements. As a clinician here, you’ll evaluate, treat, and reassess patients in all areas of the hospital including medical-surgical, progressive care unit, and intensive care unit. AdventHealth Gordon has a diverse patient population that includes total joint replacements, orthopedic conditions, neurological, respiratory, GI, and cardiovascular diagnoses.

PRN Shift/Hour Requirements: 2 weekend day shifts per month, 1 major holiday, 1 minor holiday

Your Responsibilities as an Acute Care Occupational Therapist

• Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient empowering them to previous level of functioning or proceed to next level of care
• Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs
• Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, patient families, fellow clinicians, and other hospital team members
• Build and maintain relationships throughout the hospital (I.e. physicians, case management, nurses, etc)

Compensation

Pay Range: $50-$60 an hour (Any posted pay range considers multiple compensations factors including background, experience, and work location while also allowing for salary growth within the position)
