Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation in Hewitt, TX is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist/OTR to provide skilled therapy services to residents and short-term patients at the Hewitt Nursing & Rehabilitation facility.

The role requires Texas license/certification as OTR, strong communication, and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team on a flexible PRN schedule. Prior geriatric rehab experience is preferred, with emphasis on patient discharge planning and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification for OTR.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact with all levels of staff and customers.
• Demonstrates time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates independent clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Meet physical requirements to deliver responsibilities.
• Geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Successful completion of hiring process / background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services in accordance with physician’s orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develops an overall plan of care with treatment, goals and discharge planning.
• Performs skilled treatments according to the plan of care.
• Documents observations and progress within required timeframes.
• Completes required documentation timely in line with regulations and policies.
• Completes billing on the date of service following regulations.
• Maintains rehab gym equipment and treatment area with infection prevention in mind.
