Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, GA is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem as needed with a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. shift. Compensation is $20.00 per hour.

The hospital provides extensive orientation, advancement potential, and a range of benefits while delivering compassionate inpatient post-ICU care for chronic, critically ill patients. The NA will support patient bathing, feeding and mobility with focus on safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products.
• Provide oral hygiene and oral feeding; care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist mobility devices.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other instruments/equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; maintain unit stock levels of supplies.
