Job summary

Alden Northmoor Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Illinois is hiring PRN RNs and LPNs for shifts starting at $44/hour for RN and $40/hour for LPN. You will provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in accordance with applicable standards and facility policies.

The role emphasizes leadership, care coordination, medication administration, charting, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• CPR certificate or ability to obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to work tactfully with customers, families and staff.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; cooperative with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants daily.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct unit care.
• Ensure nursing procedures follow policies and protocols.
• Supervise and instruct nursing staff to promote knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to dress code and department policies.
• Develop and update written care plans for customers.
• Attend care plan conferences and report concerns to the Administrator.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Chart nursing notes reflecting care provided and patient response.
• Complete admissions, transfers, and discharges; assist with orders.
• Coordinate diagnostics and treatments as ordered; notify changes to physicians.
• Maintain a warm, calm department environment and participate in education.
• Fill out accident/incident reports and review treatment plans.
