Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking qualified RNs or LPNs to provide direct nursing care to residents at our Illinois facility. You will supervise nursing assistants, ensure care aligns with regulations, and participate in daily rounds and care planning.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN in IL and/or WI.
• Must possess current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must deal tactfully with customers, family, visitors, personnel, and agencies.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure care follows Federal, State, local standards and facility policies.
• Develop and implement plans of care for residents.
• Directly supervise and instruct nursing staff to promote knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to dress code and departmental policies.
• Attend care plan conferences and report concerns to the Administrator.
• Chart nurses’ notes reflecting care and patient responses.
• Complete admission, discharge, and transfer assessments.
• Perform prescribed medications and treatments as ordered.
