Job summary

WellStar Health System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging procedures in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting in Georgia. The role requires careful patient positioning, radiopharmaceutical administration, and adherence to safety protocols to deliver high-quality diagnostic studies.

You will verify orders, maintain equipment, and communicate with physicians and patients while ensuring patient dignity and comfort during exams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Accredited Radiologic Science program.
• ARRT-Nuclear Medicine or CNMT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year NM clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and obtain patient identifiers; ensure proper treatment.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals per department protocol and monitor patients.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Operate NM equipment; ensure image quality and proper positioning.
• Assist in emergencies and ensure crash cart readiness; support other technologists.
• Document procedures in RIS/PACS and communicate findings clearly.
• Provide patient comfort, explanations, and privacy during exams.
