Job summary

Mercyhealth Freeport Hospital in Freeport, IL seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Day PRN coverage. Responsible for patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration, imaging, and image processing with strict safety standards.

Collaborates with physicians and PACS documentation, and assists PET services as needed. Graduates of accredited nuclear medicine programs are welcome; CNMT or ARRT(N) certification is required with CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program.
• Minimum 1–3 years experience preferred but will consider new graduates.
• CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• Prepares patients, administers radiopharmaceuticals, and processes images.
• Operates nuclear medicine equipment and participates in PACS documentation.
• Supports PET services when needed and ensures safety protocols are followed.
