Job summary

Mercyhealth in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, prepare patients, operate specialized equipment and document results for medical records.

The role is 32 hours per week, days, 6:30am–3pm, across Rockford and Freeport locations. Certification as CNMT or ARRT(N) required; accredited nuclear medicine program completion and CPR/BLS within 90 days are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program.
• CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required; CPR/BLS within 90 days.
• 1–3 years experience preferred but new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images.
• Prepares patients for procedures and ensures safety and comfort.
• Operates nuclear medicine equipment and related devices.
• Accurately documents procedures and maintains records in EMR and PACS.
• Assesses image quality and reports safety incidents per protocol.
