Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a clinical laboratory professional to join our team in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical activities within a CHA-accredited lab.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, testing per SOPs, proficiency testing participation, and staff training as needed. A Bachelor's degree and MLS license are required, with CLIA equivalency considered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical or medical laboratory science field.
• 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Florida CLIA-equivalent license: MLS (ASCP) or Florida MLS/CLS supervisor as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, checks, inventory control, specimen collection, processing, and disinfection of lab equipment.
• Conducts post-analytical activities such as reporting results and providing technical support.
• Completes tests and procedures accurately according to SOPs.
• Participates in proficiency testing and regulatory compliance.
• May precept and train new staff; supports education of clinical staff.
