Job summary

Atrium Health Union - Nursing IU Surgical Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time, PRN night shift position. You will engage with the care team to assess and plan patient care, monitor conditions, and adjust plans while maintaining safety and quality standards.

A BSN is preferred, with BLS and an RN license required to practice in the state. Experience in acute care and strong communication are essential as you contribute to evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the relevant state(s).
• BLS certification; additional education or certifications may be required depending on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate nursing care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
