Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; telehealth norms may require state licensure alignment.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and demonstrates ethical decision-making.
• Performs appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
