Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a neurosurgery leader to help establish a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge and at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO. The role includes shaping a broad brain and spine care continuum and coordinating with dedicated teams across locations.

The position requires MD/DO, CO license, and Board Certification or Eligible, with opportunities to work with a growing referral base and a strong nursing staff.

• MD/DO degree and current license to practice in Colorado.
• Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
• Willingness to be trained in brain and spine procedures and to work across two hospital sites.

Responsibilities

• Help build a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at Lutheran and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
• Provide care across Brain and Spine services at the affiliated sites with dedicated days.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to deliver a broad continuum of care.

About this role:

You will be a part of creating a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at Lutheran Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital where you will help build on an already solid foundation of a broad continuum of care for brain and spine patients. Here are just some of the highlights you can expect:

• You would practice at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO and Intermountain Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO; occasionally seeing patients at Wheat Ridge and Lafayette Clinics
• Dedicated days at each facility; not covering two facilities at the same time
• Clinics are open 5 days per week, M-F
• Designated Neuro Critical Care unit and epilepsy monitoring unit with a strong nursing staff
• Growing Primary Care referral base within Intermountain Health Medical Group

How we’ll support you:

Our competitive compensation includes $2,360/24hr shift and $407/hr call back rate.

What you’ll bring:

• Current, unrestricted CO license or able to obtain, required
• Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, required
• Will consider newly graduated Neurosurgery residents
• Trained in both brain and spine surgeries, required
