Job summary

Ravenwood Health in Chardon, OH is seeking PRN Mental Health Emergency Services Therapists to provide crisis intervention and evaluations for individuals in mental health or substance use emergencies. You will join our Emergency Services team to deliver walk-in clinic assessments and mobile crisis support across Geauga County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's level Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage & Family Therapist.
• Licensure: LPC, LSW, MFT, LPCC, LISW, LPCC-S, LISW-S.
• Experience working with at-risk clients (preferred).
• Must pass FBI/BCI background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and evaluations for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use emergencies through Emergency Services’ walk-in clinic.
• Provide community crisis response as part of Emergency Services’ Mobile Crisis team to agencies in the area including Geauga County Jail, UH Geauga Trauma Center, Geauga County Courts, and others.
• Provide crisis intervention and supportive outreach for clients and non-clients in and around Geauga County in collaboration with Geauga County CopeLine.
• Assist clients and fellow providers in the coordination of local resources, treatment services, and engagement.
• Complete Diagnostic Assessments to assist in timely client engagement, including for patients discharging from inpatient hospitalization settings.
• Work closely with counselors, case managers, nursing, and psychiatry staff as part of ongoing treatment teams to monitor client risk and provide support in cases of severe and persistent mental illness.
• On Call is an available option and offers additional pay.
