Job summary

The SD Developmental Center in Redfield, SD is seeking a Medication Technician to administer medications and support therapy programs for clients. This PRN role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to safety and behavioral protocols.

Applicants must complete the South Dakota Medication Certification and have a high school education or equivalent. A background check and drug screening are required; it is a non-benefited, temporary/seasonal position.

Qualifications

• Must complete the South Dakota Medication Certification course.
• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Licensed nurse may delegate medications to unlicensed assistive personnel with proper registration.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments to clients and maintain medication records.
• Provide guidance and support following approved behavioral intervention techniques.
• Assist with training, behavior management, and therapy programs for clients.
