Job summary

Keystone Treatment Center in Canton, SD, seeks a Night Medication Technician to join the nursing team. This full-time role covers 6:30 pm–7:00 am shifts, working within a 126-bed inpatient facility just outside Sioux Falls. The position focuses on safely administering medications and supporting patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing doses, documenting in medical records, and adhering to regulatory requirements. Training will be provided, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of pharmacology and medication administration techniques.
• Completion of a Medication Technician/Aide training program as required by state.
• Previous experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to patients according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare and organize medication doses, including oral, topical, and other forms as directed.
• Document patient interactions and report changes in patient conditions to the nurse.
• Follow safety guidelines and regulatory requirements for medication storage and handling.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support patient care and treatment plans.
