Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a PRN Medical Technologist to join the Laboratory team. The role involves performing diverse laboratory tests and delivering accurate results to support patient care.

Flexible scheduling is provided to meet department needs. The ideal candidate holds a Florida Medical Technologist License, with ASCP/AMT certification preferred and hospital lab experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited program.
• Current Florida Medical Technologist License required.
• ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification preferred.
• Hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, blood bank and urinalysis testing.
• Analyze and verify patient test results for accuracy.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Identify abnormal results and communicate critical values according to hospital policy.
• Maintain LIS documentation and assist with inventory and supplies.
