TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a Medical Technologist to support a regional laboratory network. The role involves performing diagnostic tests, managing departmental responsibilities in the supervisor's absence, and ensuring quality control.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience, an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), and an active Florida Technologist License. This is a full-time position on night shift with rotating weekends.
A Medical Technologist opportunity is available with a regional laboratory network that supports more than 250 acute and rehabilitation hospitals, physician practices, surgery centers, and commercial accounts across Florida, including a fully automated esoteric core laboratory and a hospital-based rapid-response laboratory infrastructure.
The role. Reporting to the laboratory supervisor, the Medical Technologist is responsible for performing accurate and timely diagnostic testing, including STAT procedures within established turnaround time targets and proficiency testing samples within required timeframes. In the supervisor's absence, the technologist assumes departmental responsibility and exercises independent judgment in correlating and interpreting patient results — including performing delta checks and escalating critical values per protocol. The position also involves reviewing pending and result logs (OSR) to resolve or communicate outstanding workload to relief staff, completing all required documentation pertaining to patient results, and performing quality control procedures while managing problem specimens and critical laboratory findings.
Full-time, night shift with rotating weekends.
