Job summary

HCA Florida Putnam Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team on a PRN basis in Palatka, FL. You will perform accurate lab testing, ensure timely results, and support the department in the absence of the supervisor.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Medical Technology (Bachelor's preferred), and a Florida technologist license or eligibility to obtain during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of MT experience preferred.
• Florida technologist license required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Generalist license in Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing per instructions and within turnaround times.
• Assume department leadership in supervisor's absence.
• Complete all records/documentation for patient results.
• Perform stat procedures within established targets.
• Use judgment in interpretation of patient results and delta checks.
• Monitor logs and coordinate with staff to resolve workload.
