Job summary

Cognito LLC, a Planned Systems International joint venture, seeks a PRN Medical Records Technician to support IHSC at the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, TX. The MRT will manage the eHR, ensure accurate documentation, and schedule appointments while safeguarding patient confidentiality.

The role requires 24/7 readiness for emergencies, with shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. Prior MRT and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Maintains Heartsaver CPR AED certification.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare MRT experience with electronic medical records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the electronic health record (eHR) for IHSC with accuracy and timeliness.
• Receive, scan, verify, and file medical documentation.
• Schedule appointments and perform data entry and reporting from the eHR system.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to mission needs with flexibility and weekend/holiday coverage as required.
