Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Peoria, IL. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience to our patients at the clinic.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, front desk duties, and coordinating care with the team while maintaining accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration preferred/required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals and assist with procedures; coordinate with contracted labs for tests.
• Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and patient flow coordination.
• Maintain accurate data in medical records and communicate results to patients.
