Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. The Medical Assistant collaborates with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities include vitals, injections, phlebotomy, assisting with procedures, and performing front-desk duties like scheduling and records requests, while coordinating with the care team to address gaps in care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• Minimum 1 year of MA experience.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Coordinate care and develop patient plans with the care team.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/check-out.
• Record data in medical charts and distribute test results timely.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
