Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team at our Health Centers and virtual network. You will support a primary care physician, handle front-desk duties, and manage both clinical and administrative tasks to deliver excellent patient care and a positive guest experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year as a Medical Assistant, completion of a MA program, and CPR/BLS certification; MA certification/registration preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; CPR/BLS required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and stock exam rooms.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, and wound care.
• Work with labs to order and process tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in the medical record per guidelines.
• Communicate test results to patients via e-message/mail/phone.
• Maintain supplies and coordinate care with the team.
