Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our PRN team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience, acting as both receptionist and clinical support.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, drawing blood, administering medications, coordinating with labs, and front-d desk tasks to manage appointments and records. CPR/BLS is required; MA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to rooms; ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, assist with procedures and administer medications as directed.
• Handle front desk duties: scheduling, medical records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data accurately in medical records and communicate results via preferred channel.
• Support care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
