Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to float among our health centers in Manhattan, NYC. You will perform front and back office duties, measure vital signs, and support patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Seeking candidates with strong phlebotomy skills and MA certification; BLS required. Monday–Friday day shifts with potential for multiple shifts per month and a competitive benefits package, including 401(k) with company match and access to virtual care.

Qualifications

• Must have national Medical Assistant certification or diploma with externship
• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent) required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

• Administer medications and perform/assist with laboratory tests and EKGs

As a PRN Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in New York City, NY.

Staffing Pool team in New York City, NY.

Summary:

In this role, you will float to our different health centers in Manhattan (Midtown to Downton financial center areas) performing front and back office duties. Seeking candidates with strong phlebotomy skills. Monday-Friday day shift hours anywhere between 7am-7pm, availability to pick up multiple shifts each month and potential to work 5 days a week at times.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
