Job summary

CareNow is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare patients, assist with treatments, and help with lab tasks in coordination with physicians.

This role emphasizes attention to patient comfort and accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate has 1+ year clinical experience, is familiar with EHR systems, and has completed an accredited Medical Assisting program.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or Back Office Training Program (BOTP) required.
• Certification from the AAMA is helpful.
• Ability to obtain Federal Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening Certifications within 30 days preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Set up exam rooms with instruments and ensure supplies/equipment are sterilized.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen incoming calls for referrals to physicians.
