Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Medical Assistant in Colorado to support patient care, prepare exam rooms, administer injections, assist with labs, and coordinate follow-up care. The role emphasizes patient-centered service within a busy urgent care network.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year clinical experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and appropriate MA credentials; BLS certified and administrative tasks are included.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical patient care experience preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or completion of a Back Office Training Program (BOTP).
• AAMA certification is helpful.
• Ability to obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms with instruments and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen calls for referrals to physicians and practitioners.
