Job summary

Marathon Health is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and create an exceptional guest experience.

The role blends medical assisting duties with front-desk responsibilities, supporting a full spectrum of patient care within Marathon Health’s value-based model. We value Patients First and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review prior medical information and gather updated health data.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, assist procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per Provider order.
• Coordinate with care team to develop patient care plans and close gaps in care.
• Handle front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data accurately in the medical record.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients.
• Engage in outreach to drive patient engagement.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
