Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in inmate care under RN supervision, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Duties include administering medications and supporting routine medical procedures across the Health Care Unit.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program, hold an active LPN/LVN license, and maintain CPR/BLS certification. TB test within one year is required; HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Maintain current licensure as an LPN/LVN in the state of employment.
• Must have current CPR/BLS certification.
• TB test current within one year.
• HIPAA confidentiality requirements and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment of inmates under RN supervision.
• Plan and implement individual treatment programs with available resources.
• Administer medications and related procedures per established methods.
• Assist with procedures and SOAP charting.
• Obtain body fluid specimens and perform EKGs as needed.
• Maintain documentation for controlled substances and medical equipment.
• Triaging healthcare requests and provide timely care.
