Job summary

NTMC in Gainesville, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery (PRN) to provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. You will assess patients, plan care, and communicate changes in condition with physicians, including fetal monitoring results.

The role requires RN license in Texas, Neonatal Resuscitation, BLS, fetal monitoring training, and ACLS certification. Prior L&D experience is preferred, and the position offers part-time PRN hours with opportunities to

Qualifications

Current RN license in Texas.
Neonatal Resuscitation Certification.
Current BLS Certification.
Fetal monitoring training/course completion.
ACLS certification.
Prior L&D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery with assessment and planning of individualized care.
Communicate with physicians about changes in a patient’s clinical condition including fetal monitoring results.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Perform general nursing duties in Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision.
Assess neonate at delivery and perform neonatal resuscitation according to guidelines.
Demonstrate knowledge of fetal monitoring and identify patterns.
