Job summary

Helms Home Care in Columbus, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide in-home infusion therapy on a PRN basis. The RN will perform catheter access, administer medications, monitor vitals, and educate patients in their homes.

This role requires reliable transportation, a valid RN license, and strong communication with scheduling staff. Benefits include mileage reimbursement, supplies provided for lab draws and infusion therapy, and opportunities for advancement with a Simple IRA plan.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license and competent in infusion duties.
• Minimum 1 year of infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance experience.
• Strong communication with scheduling personnel and patients.
• Reliable transportation and licensed driver with insurance.
• Willingness to perform approx. 2 home visits per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICC/central lines) and vital signs.
• Administer medications including Abx, TPN, IVIG and other specialty meds; perform blood draws.
• Provide patient education on self-administration and home care.
• Submit visit notes promptly using electronic charting.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws


• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication


• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above


• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care


• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine


• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel


• Expect to do 2 visits per week


• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
