Job summary

LabCorp in Boston, MA, is seeking a Phlebotomist for hospital/in-patient settings. You will perform skilled specimen collections, ensure accurate patient data entry, and provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic clinical environment.

This casual/PRN role offers hours as needed for 1st shift; prior phlebotomy certification or training is required, with potential for growth within LabCorp’s extensive network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6+ months experience.
• Preferred: 1+ years in inpatient phlebotomy and LabCorp experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
