Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist-Hospitals in Lowell, MA to perform venipuncture and specimen collection in a hospital/in-patient setting. The role emphasizes customer service, accurate data entry, and cross-site travel as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, with preferred experience in inpatient phlebotomy. Pay ranges hourly with a schedule of 8 hours per week and rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 2+ years inpatient phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
