Job summary

West Oaks Hospital, a 176-bed acute care facility in Houston, is seeking a dynamic Receptionist to be the primary contact for patients, visitors, and staff. The role requires answering the switchboard, greeting guests, distributing mail, and supporting clerical tasks in a 24/7 behavioral health environment.

Flexibility to cover additional shifts for vacation or personal time off is required. CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications, plus prior receptionist experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Hospital de-escalation certification.
• Prior receptionist experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge and healthcare experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Utilize paging system to page staff and make announcements.
• Provide access to patients, visitors and employees upon entry to Hospital; greet and assist customers; verify identification and documentation.
• Assist with clerical duties and projects as needed.
