Job summary

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is recruiting a PRN Pharmacy Technician to support Southeast Victoria location with coverage as needed. Expect to assist pharmacists, process orders, restock inventory, and maintain compliance with hospital SOPs under supervision.

Role requires Texas licensure or ability to obtain, IV/PTCB certification preferred, and strong customer service with hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Licensed pharmacy technician in Texas or ability to obtain licensure.
• IV certified or ability to obtain certification.
• PTCB certification highly preferred.
• In-patient/hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in filling prescription orders as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Prepares medication for dispensing, packaging and shipment.
• Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out of date items from the inventory.
• Enters medical supply orders in pharmacy system.
• Communicates with all customers (patients, clinics, care-givers, physicians) in an amicable and professional manner.
• Processes returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
• Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
• Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
