Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring a PRN Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock. The role supports pharmacists in prescriptions, inventory, and data entry during facility hours, with a focus on timely order fulfillment and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include Texas State Pharmacy Technician license, PTCB certification preferred, IV certification preferred, and inpatient hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Texas State Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) highly preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• IV certification highly preferred or ability to obtain certification prior to hire.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred.
• Pyxis/Omnicell experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and focus under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist as needed, permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
• Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.
• Communicates with all customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
