Job summary

You will follow department policies, stock supplies, dispose of waste, and handle equipment with care while delivering quality service in a busy hospital setting near Lake McConaughy.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication with staff, patients and visitors.
• Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and cleaning chemical instructions.
• Willingness to perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
• Customer service oriented and able to meet cleanliness goals.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing.
• Empties hampers, transports soiled linen, and manages waste and sharps as required.
• Restocks supplies in all assigned areas and maintains cleanliness of equipment.
• Follows safety procedures and logs equipment use; reports repairs as needed.
• May perform special projects like window and wall washing.
• Responds to questions from patients, staff and visitors and supports customer service goals.
• Works under regular supervision in an assigned facility/area.
