Banner Health is hiring an Environmental Services Associate at Ogallala Community Hospital in Ogallala, Nebraska. This full-time role works an evening shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with weekend rotations and holidays required.

The EVS team cleans patient rooms and hospital areas to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for staff and patients. The position emphasizes accurate cleaning, supply restocking, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Able to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing.
• Empties hampers and transports soiled linen; empties trash and medical waste containers.
• Inventories and restocks supplies such as toilet tissue, towels, and soap.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and logs usage; notifies when repairs are needed.
• Performs special projects like windows/wall washing and removing heavily soiled items.
• Responds to questions from patients, staff and visitors; supports customer service goals.
