Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts in the Emergency Department, located in Brandon, FL. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, assessing pain and providing timely interventions.

Must hold a Florida RN license (active within 60 days if compact), with at least one year ER experience. Current BLS; ACLS, PALS/ENPC, CPI, TNCC, and NIHSS within 6 months are required. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or compact license with FL active within 60 days.
• RN diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience in acute care for PRN.
• Current BLS; ACLS within 6 months; PALS/ENPC within 6 months.
• NIHSS certification within 6 months; CPI and TNCC within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with providers and care team within department standards.
• Assess pain and manage interventions, document care promptly.
• Teach patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
• Support self-management through lifestyle and education guidance.
