HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL seeks a Freestanding Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (compact license acceptable with FL RN active within 60 days), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and current BLS; ACLS, PALS/ENPC, CPI, TNCC, and NIHSS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida or compact license with active FL RN within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS within 6 months, PALS/ENPC within 6 months, CPI within 6 months, TNCC within 6 months, NIHSS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients as ordered; document care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
