Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department on a PRN basis. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities include assessing pain, performing procedures, documenting care, promptly addressing patient needs, and educating patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Trauma Nursing Core Course must be completed within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ED.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and advocate for patients and families.
• Educate patients/families about condition, treatment, medications, and follow-up.
