Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Neurodiagnostic EEG Technician to perform and interpret electroencephalograms and related procedures. You will prepare patients, obtain histories, and ensure high-quality recordings across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualification includes ABRET EEG technologist registration within 1 year, BLS within 6 months, and typically 2 years of experience in a Neurodiagnostic role.

Responsibilities

• Performs and maintains competency in EEGs and portable inpatient EEGs, applying electrodes and calibrating equipment.
• Prepares patient for exam and conducts exams.
• Gathers patient history and relevant information from patients and families.
• Explains test procedures to patients and families.
• Performs procedures following lab standards and adjusts controls for optimal recordings.
• Recognizes and manages artifacts; documents issues and monitors equipment.
• May assist with intraoperative monitoring and various EEG modalities as site needs.
