Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technician to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and Doppler studies in adults and/or pediatrics. The role requires knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology and the ability to assist with transesophageal echo and stress echo procedures.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Medical Sonography-Cardiac Specific (RDCS or RCS).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year clinical experience preferred, with pediatric experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all cardiac ultrasound and echo procedures.
• Explains cardiac procedures to patient and/or family.
• Prioritizes workload and attends to urgent cases.
• Recognizes and reports issues affecting test quality.
• Maintains infection control and a safe environment.
• Inputs data for charges and maintains ICAEL records.
