AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking an ECG Technician to perform diagnostic electrocardiograms, apply electrodes correctly, and monitor Holter data in a busy hospital setting.
You will document procedures, communicate abnormal findings promptly, assist with office tasks, and ensure infection control and PPE guidelines are followed. This PRN, day-shift role requires a High School diploma and BLS certification, with 1+ year ECG experience preferred.

Performs diagnostic electrocardiograms and independently conducts ECG testing. Positions and applies electrodes correctly, ensuring proper application of Holter Monitors. Identifies and corrects for wandering, interference, and artifact during procedures. Obtains all necessary information for accurate interpretation and communicates abnormal findings to the nurse or physician promptly. Manages unmatched lists and responds to patient orders in a timely manner. Accurately documents and reports all procedures, including patient demographic information, and downloads, edits, and faxes Holter Monitor data. Assists with various office responsibilities, including physician billing, responding to phone inquiries, and fax requests. Follows isolation guidelines, uses PPE appropriately, and performs hand washing according to policy. Communicates effectively with patients and their families, explaining procedures clearly and completing assignments while communicating pending items to appropriate staff. Provides suggestions for department and hospital process improvements and participates in related projects. Assists with clinical instructions and serves as a resource to less experienced employees and new personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.
