Assists in the training and orientation of new staff and students as required. Participates in performance improvement programs to enhance service quality. Responds to phone inquiries and fax requests related to cardiac testing. Assists with office tasks such as physician billing and verifying patient information. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs and documents electrocardiograms, exercise stress tests, pharmacological stress tests, nuclear stress tests, and stress echocardiograms. Conducts 24-48 hour hook-ups and scans for cardiac monitoring. Executes remote pacemaker testing and communicates abnormal findings to nurses or physicians. Maintains and manages supplies necessary for cardiac testing procedures. Monitors ECG worklist, ensures cardiologist assignment for ECG interpretation, and notifies physicians on panel reading schedules. Cleans and maintains equipment after each use and at the end of shifts. Provides accurate and timely documentation and reporting of all procedures in accordance with department policy.
