Job summary

Envision Radiology is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures on adult and pediatric patients, supporting radiologists to obtain high-quality images with minimal supervision. The role includes patient education, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with the radiology team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of ultrasound experience, ARDMS RVT or ARRT VS preferred, and CPR/BLS certification.

• Two plus years’ ultrasound experience preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.

• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Interface with patient to obtain medical history and explain the procedure to obtain the best image.
• Review patient charts for missed information and consent; screen for implants, allergies, etc.
• Perform ultrasound scans and print images, monitoring patient care before/during/after exams.
• Assist Radiologist on specialized exams.
• Transfer images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintain and inspect equipment; report quality concerns or deficiencies.
• Interface with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding department concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
