Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Dental Assistant for the Illinois River Correctional Center in Canton, IL. The role involves chairside assistance in a correctional environment under supervision of a dentist or dental hygienist. Hourly pay is $22.36/hr with a $4/hr PRN differential.

Responsibilities include instrument preparation, operatory maintenance, radiographic work, and related administrative duties. Must have a high school diploma/GED and dental assisting credentials or equivalent

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Technical dental assisting program or six months of experience required.
License or eligibility to obtain a dental assistant license required.
Expanded duty certification preferred; if not held, must be obtained within year of hire.
X-ray certification or experience preferred; PPD documentation required.
CPR certification required; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

Assist dentist and dental hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and maintain operatory.
Operate radiographic equipment and perform related administrative tasks.
