Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team at Centralia Correctional Center in Centralia, Illinois. The role involves chairside dentistry under the supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in a correctional setting.

Essential duties include preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining the operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and completing administrative tasks as needed. The position is PRN with a base rate plus a PRN differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience required.
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required.
• Expanded duty dental assistant certification preferred; if not possessed, must obtain in first year.
• Current PPD documentation for tuberculosis screening required.
• CPR certification required; ability to obtain CPR certification if not current.
