Job summary

ProCare Lakewood Emergency is seeking a PRN ER Technician to assist the nursing staff with delegated basic patient care tasks under RN supervision. You will collect vital signs, intake/output, and other patient information while delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced ER.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, with EMT-Basic (BLS) mandatory and EMT-P/EMT-AEMT preferred. This PRN role supports ongoing emergency department operations in Dallas, TX.

Qualifications

• EMT-Basic must have BLS.
• Paramedic must have BLS/ACLS/PALS.
• High School Graduate/GED.
• EMT-Basic, EMT-AEMT, EMT-P preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• We are seeking a PRN ER Technician to join our team to help deliver high quality care to our patients. The ER Technician will help provide patient centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the ER Technician’s skills/training and the needs of the department. The ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in obtaining and recording patient information such as admission data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, and other patient information as outlined by policy.

Qualifications:

• An EMT-Basic must have BLS
• A Paramedic must have BLS/ACLS/PALS
• High School Graduate/GED
• Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B), Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (AEMT), Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMT-P) PREFERRED.
