Job summary

ProCare Lakewood Emergency is seeking a PRN ER Technician to support the emergency department team in delivering high-quality patient care. Under RN supervision, you will perform delegated basic nursing tasks and assist with routine patient needs and documentation.

You will help obtain and record patient information (admission data, vital signs, height/weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output) and support the nursing staff in daily operations.

Qualifications

• EMT-Basic must have BLS certification.
• Paramedic must have BLS/ACLS/PALS.
• High School Graduate/GED.
• EMT-Basic / AEMT / EMT-P certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and nursing staff in delivering patient care.
• Record admission data, vital signs, height/weight, BP, O2 saturation, intake/output per policy.
• Support patients with activities of daily living as trained.

Education

Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced (AEMT)

• We are seeking a PRN ER Technician to join our team to help deliver high quality care to our patients. The ER Technician will help provide patient centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the ER Technician’s skills/training and the needs of the department. The ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in obtaining and recording patient information such as admission data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, and other patient information as outlined by policy.

Qualifications:

• An EMT-Basic must have BLS
• A Paramedic must have BLS/ACLS/PALS
• High School Graduate/GED
• Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B), Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (AEMT), Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMT-P) PREFERRED.
